Default nx vs nytrex nitrous nozzle

http://tredalign.com/nxnytrex.htm

I had been wondering why NX rates the .062/.033 jets as 150 rwhp and ny-trex rates the same size 150 at motor. After some discussion, Ricky from NX decided to send me one of their nozzles to figure out why I was only getting 110 rwhp.

the most interesting part of this test was #3. switching from a small solenoid with a .081 opening versus the larger solenoid with the .125 opening. A nice return on investment of 18.5 rwhp. What I did notice was how lean the A/F ratio went with just switching to a bigger solenoid. this is because more nitrous was getting to the engine.

talking with ken at nytrex his theory was the nitrous solenoid orifice starts freezing shut the longer it is open and flowing nitrous. seems the theory was true. after all the nitrous jet is only .063. much smaller than either solenoid orifice.

guess bigger is better in this case.
