It's moving pretty quickly and looks to accelerate. Not wishing anything bad on Mexico, but the speed probably indicates a pretty stable direction. Steering currents to change direction would likely slow it down, which doesn't appear to be in the forecast.

BTW, I made the image a real time display rather than a static image so you can check on the predicted track frequently.....

The insurance companies would loose so much money they would probably find a way to kill off the guy who figured out how to stop the storms..... and make it look like an accident. The payout on his policy would be BILLIONS less than they would loose if Hurricanes were able to be stopped.
