Default Casey Jones you better watch your speed

The Florida House yesterday, 4/25/08, passed a bill to increase the fines for motorists who exceed 50 mph above the limit.

First-time offence = $1,000 fine.

Second offence = $2,500 fine and a one year license suspension.

Third offence = $5,000 fine and license suspended for 10 years.

No jail time except for possibly the third offence as was proposed in the first draft of the bill.

Remember, it still has to go through the senate and then to gov.

Here's the bill from the Florida house as of yesterday, 4/25/08

I think I can keep mine under 85 mph in a 35 mph zone, but I'm not sure if I can keep the front wheels on the ground at all times.....

I can see the Val1 detector sales going through the roof now!!! I'm glad I got mine already. I wouldn't dare do this excesss speed in town or city limits. Country roads.... Hmmm- Take a guess.
