Hell, I'd like to just see them unbundle the hurricane policy so it would be OPTIONAL. We were told by out agent that we couldn't do that. They hit us with another rate hike and we're likely going to just drop the home owner's insurance completely. Between the high cost of the policy and the ridiculously high deductible (not to mention the fact that it's entirely possible that we would have to hire an attorney just to get them to pay the claim anyway), it's just not cost effective any longer to consider insurance. If a hurricane blows down the joint, just buy a mobile home to pull onto the land, or sell the land and move into an apartment.
