One gearhead to another...so to speak. I like to modify my vette for shows and speed but i really don't like the track scene all that much-too much bs to put up with overall; I'm one who likes, as we say in the military, targets of opportunity; unexpected, unplanned "meeting" of man and machine and, well, you know the rest. But one thing I won't do on the street, is race in traffic, in residential areas, with any oncoming traffic, or with any traffic out in front of me. I also won't go all out either; ususally, it's a few hundred feet, win or lose, that's it-race is over. There are areas around here with water on both sides of the road for quite some distance, or no homes on either side of the road from light to light, or just desolate road here and there. But in any case, the track is the safest place for full out racing no matter what matter what my beefs are with the track in any case.
