Didn't happen.
Chris called me this morning to tell me he had some personal issue to take care of. He hoped that he could get to the shop later and would call me, but that didn't happen. He told me he had been working on my car on Sunday and got some things done, including getting the intake manifold back on.
I'm REALLY hoping this car will be road-worthy by the end of this week, so I hope Chris can put the time into it to make that happen. It's really all in his hands right now to GIT 'ER DONE!
Still waiting on the new headers and the new throttle body, but the old headers are mounted and a slightly smaller throttle body is as well. The car can be started up "as is" and those other parts put on when they show up. I really don't want to hit the 8 month mark having my car in the shop.

Good luck rich. Is it wrong to say a little prayer about getting a car done? Doesn't matter, it'll be good for your piece of mind!

Captain's Log - Stardate Tuesday, 06/08/2010
Chis had something to attend to this morning, and I was waiting for a delivery from Sears, so I didn't get out to the shop till around 1pm.
Chris was working on a tune for another car at the time, so I looked over my car sitting on the lift. Appears to be coming together nicely. Intake manifold is in place as is the temp throttle body (that reminds me, I need to check with Josh at RevXtreme on the status of the new TB...). Actually most of the stuff is back on the car right now. Chris needs to run the fuel lines for the new fuel pump, and he told me he had to replace the fuel injectors he originally purchased for my car as they may not be compatible with the current setup. The turbos I have on there will not reach the peak horsepower that he believes the engine is capable of, but I decided I would rather have the smaller turbos that would hopefully spool up faster and put more power in the lower and mid RPM ranges. So the original injectors might have been TOO big for this application. He is waiting for those new ones to show up.
Anyway, Chris indicated that he should have the car in shape to start it up by the end of the week. Hope that proves to be true and no other gremlins raise their ugly little heads.....
Chris had some other work coming in later on in the afternoon, so when he left for lunch around 1:30, I just headed on back home. Not a very productive day for my car, but at least I got to see some progress over the past several days.

Isn't that a major milestone compared to the last time?!

Why yes it is. With the Warhawk heads, the intake manifold wouldn't even bolt up at all.
I'm sure there are going to be some wrinkles when the car first gets cranked up and puts some breakin miles on it, but hopefully there aren't any brick walls awaiting me.

I talked to Chris in the morning and he said he had been working on that Camaro all night, so was late getting to the shop. He said he was just putting stuff together on my car, so nothing really video worthy worth running out there for.
