Hey Mickey. Yep it's a P51D at Fantasy of Flight. Was there the other day with a few Corvette Friends. Neat day and great back drop.

I thought I recognized it. My grandmother was a Rosie during WWII and built them. Amazing aircraft and great piece of history.

Default Fantasy of Flight

Dot and I were there with Ken, Tom and Betsy Adams, Tom and Pat Barhold, and
Larry and Judy Walters. Had an AWESOME time and saw some GREAT aircraft.

The C47 was one of the participants in the D-Day invasion in Normandy and has
been repainted in her invasion day colors. This aircraft also carried members of
the original "Band Of Brothers" into combat. Kermit Weeks has a GREAT place,
and if you have ANY interest in airplanes AT ALL, I would recommend that you
make the trip out to Polk City and spend a day or two enjoying the place. Nice
to see you again Ken, and nice to see "PEEK" for the first time !
LOOKIN GOOD THERE BRO!

I think that is a C-47 cargo plane as well. Not sure but I remember seeing one at the 82nd Airborne Museum when I was stationed at Ft. Bragg. But my jump log only includes C130, C141, C17, CH47, UH1 and CH53

It is a "REAL" SR-71. It is located at the Airforce Weapons Museum at Hurlbert Field near Navarre, Fl.

Here's a few pics of the view I have most often seen of my C5Z the past year.
