The Florida-Michigan game was a total coach screw up. They completely changed their game plans for the bowl game, Michigan for the better, Florida for the worst. Michigan also came in fired up for the first time that year...that I saw anyway. LSU "did" beat Florida.

Doesn't matter if they did or didn't, what matters is that Florida should have gotten the nod to play in the Rose Bowl, not Illinois!

The Pac10 and Big10 have had an agreement to play each other in the Rose Bowl going back for about 100 years. It has nothing to do with teams in other conferences. The SEC in not part of the agreement so why should they have played in the Rose Bowl.

a) I had already stated that earlier. b) Maybe because Florida was ranked a whole three spots higher then Illinois and it was the right thing to do regardless of "alliances."
