You know, that web site has one of those "credit booster" ads at the bottom, and yesterday, while listening to Schnidtt (schnitt?), he was griping and boo hooing about the banks not lending money!
Now he has a point that the $$ we gave them should be loaned to those qualifying for it instead of being hoarded or used to throw Las Vegas parties (see how fast Wells Fargo backed out of that one when they got caught with thier hand in the proverbial cookie jar?
)
I also agree that we should never have bailed them out without some sort of major overview! But we did.
But just like GM's bailout, if they contnue down the same path they were on before, they will be in the same boat ther were in before very shortly!
We need to STOP the sub prime loans, the loans to people that just shouldn't have them in the 1st 10 places, and watch spending on the part of our government.
GM is now talking more layoffs/cutbacks. So much for saving jobs with all that $$$$
If these idiots want to stimulate the economy, as one guy said yesterday, stop witholding for a month or 2 or 3. People will have more $$ and will stimulate the economy on thierown.
The down side to that is, unless we as a country decide to become sudcenly more cost conscious, start saving more and do less borrowing, when it ends, and it will end, a vast majority of the Ameriucan buying public will be that much more in debt.
We have to do something to stop the bleeding!
A big part of that would be for government to set the tone and start living within a mandated budget!
Stop printing $$$ to balance the damend thing!
When the $$ gone, so are the jobs/positions.
Sorry, but that is the way it has to be!
We simply can not allow government (state, local or federal) to continue on with thier eratic spending. They have to gain control of thier budgets first before they can do a thing to help us with ours!
For me, I'll continue to sarifice some (it hasn't hurt that much yet), pay off all my debts, and commit to a debt free lifestyle in the future.
When the system does collapse, At least I'll be able to save enough beer cans to pay my taxes and insurance...I hope?
