That's why I went with the Carnauba wax this time. Planning on driving down to Seffner this weekend for my STS install, so I am sure I'll pick up a load of bugs along the way.

I think they mean not to apply when its 85.Onece you apply it ,it doesnt matter what the temperature is.

Yeah, but I'm not really a morning person, so by the time I get up, it's normally well on it's way to being 85+ degrees out.
Actually the directions tell you to protect the car from the elements for 12 hours after application. Since I park my Z outside under the carport, not sure how effectively I can do that. Supposedly contaminants can bond with RejeX while it is curing.

Little off topic from the love bug theme, but I posted earlier about my husband driving to Georgia and the love bug problem....well, a bigger, more expensive problem also came up.....DUMP TRUCKS! At least the love bugs wash off!!! He saw a rock fall off one of the trucks and of course he couldn't get out of the way in traffic...it bounced from the nose of his Trans Am up on the hood. The scratches are amazing! Deep enough to put a fingernail into. Got an estimate today...over $500 to fix. He was glad it wasn't the vette, but still............

2Vettes,
Had the same thing hapen to me a few years back on a different car. Did you get all the information from the truck? If you did, call them up an say you two people in the car that saw the rock come from the load...not the tires and give the exact place it happened. They have insurance that will cover the dent/scratch, but you must be firm that you both saw it come from the load the truck was carrying. Had the window replaced and scraches painted on my Monza that way.

No such luck....he was so busy trying to avoid falling objects he just wanted to get out of the way. Glad you were able to get them to cover your loss. Very good idea though. We'll remember for next time, if there is one....I hope not!

I hate those stinkin' love bugs. They are a damn UM experiment that got loose and now they can't stop multiplying!!!! Uurrrgggghhhh!!!!
We don't see them as badly here in So Fla, but when I was up in Central Florida this weekend, they got all over the place. Thank God I took the Sentra and not the 'vette!!! I have hundreds of the little ba$tards on my windshield alone.

Yeah, I hope Greg at Anti Venom has someplace I can wash off the front of the vette when I run down there this weekend. I'm sure I'll have quite a collection of bugs when I get there.
About dump trucks.... rule of thumb is to just NEVER get behind one if you can help it. If you can't pass it, then drop back to give a lot of distance between it and yourself. Assume they all are going to launch projectiles sooner or later.
