We got 0.61" of rain today. Not a lot, but we'll gladly take it. Things have been pretty dry around here lately.

Not one drop for March. I bet nothing for this month also and May. Fires will be unreal.

We will be having modest chances of rain beginning next week, but of course this is all subject to change. The 80 percent forecast for rain yesterday just popped up all of a sudden after nothing really showing in the forecast a week or so in advance.
I am worried about a major hurricane popping up while this coronavirus thing is ongoing. Having a bunch of people evacuating from anywhere going anywhere else is going to be fraught with complications. Many people will be thinking, "what will be worse, damage from the hurricane, or going somewhere and catching this virus there?" Or possibly targeted destinations turning people away afraid they are bringing the virus to them. Imagine all of Miami needing to be evacuated right now with all the COVID-19 cases there.
Seems 2020 is being a rather interesting time so far.

Tampa is due for a big storm since 1921 was the last time. Seems like this year could be the end as everything is going down the tubes. Lots has happened since my sister passed away last Sept. Maybe we will be past the hump by the time a storm would bother us in Aug thru Oct.

Got a quarter inch of rain this morning early. So we will still be running irrigation on the fruit trees.

Weather radar showed a line of storms moving through here just a couple of hours ago. Not a drop of rain out of it, as best I can tell.
I don't have high hopes the rest of this week, regardless of the forecast showing a good chance of rain several of the next few days.
This is always an odd time of year for precipitation around here.

We got 0.20" of rain today. Might get a little more overnight as there appears to be some storms heading this way from the southwest. But I'm not expecting much out of them.
