Default Steering Wheel

I recently replaced the console on my '06 with one painted the same color of the car (Monterey Red). I am thinking of painting the two metal pieces on the inside of the steering wheel with touch-up paint.
I painted the head of the oil deep stick with touch-up paint and worked fine.
Do you guys think the paint will adhere on those metal clips?

Pretty sure those accent pieces are just plastic. Youll more then likely have to sand them down, primer, then paint and clear. They have some kind of coating on the paint to keep new paint from adhering correctly.

I think you are right. Not sure I want to tackle that and make a mess.
I saw a steering wheel the way I would like at apsisusa.com but looks like it would be an expensive proposition.

Have you tried visiting couple local paint shops? I couldnt see it being more then 50-60 bucks for a quality job.

Hope you are not planning on taking them off (the steering wheel spears) that is, I understand it's a bitch to get to them. You have to remove the air bag...
