Speaking of rain...
There appears to be a tropical storm developing in the Gulf right now that you all might want to keep an eye on, if you aren't already aware of it.

It's just a mass or blob of clouds, if anything it will head to the northwest like they always do. Had 2.25" of rain for this last Thurs and Friday. Already had about as much rain this month as i did for all of last June, July and Aug of last summer.

Ditto that. It has been soooo dry here until the last week or so I was fearful of another drought summer. Maybe this will replenish the aquifer. I hope so and I have no complaints about the rain.
I will say Floridians are amazing. They bi*ch if it's dry, they bi*ch if its hot, if it's wet, if its cold. Even a week of rain sparks all kinds of complaints (excluding you Rich heck you can probably raise tadpoles in your front yard about now).

We are blessed with plush lawns. So much rain here I had my "helpers" do a special weed patrol.
On a side note ... I remember a time when I did the lawn chores by myself and when my helpers wanted to help me the work took three times the amount of time to complete. That's my three sons for ya! Good times.

Heck, here LOCALLY, I've been watching storms passing all around me, with virtually NOTHING dropping on our property. It's insane. A quarter mile away it will be flooded, but not a drop of rain on our 50 acres. So we have been having to water all our plants while rain falls all around us.
I have watched the radar and see this hole in huge swaths of storms where WE were sitting right in the middle of. Storms passing in streams to the south, north, east and west of us.
Guess I pissed off God or something..... It defies reason otherwise...

It's like that at my house most times. Normal afternoon T -storms are headed my way and will spilt in half and go just to my north and south , or head right at me and die off before i get rain.
We are starting to get very light rain now and there is a massive area of rain just southwest of my area headed to the north.

Well, we're DEFINITELY getting some rain today!
But the forecast is for "Debby" to start heading over to the Texas coast eventually and strengthen to a hurricane. But in the meantime, the storm is gradually moving northward towards Pensacola. So looks like the panhandle is going to get a good bit of rain for the next few days. Actually maybe ALL of Florida is going to get a good dowsing from this storm....
