I was just looking over the jeffhardy.com site that shows the Corvettes listed as being on dealer's lots and noticed something interesting. Take a look at these numbers for the 2010 Corvettes sitting on lots right now:
- Coupe - 1,403
- Convertible - 346
- Grand Sport Coupe - 1,067
- Grand Sport Convertible - 533
- Z06 - 156
- ZR1 - 368
That's 3,873 Corvettes sitting on dealer's lots waiting to be sold.
Now what struck me as odd was that low number of Z06s available. Does that mean they are selling like hot cakes, or does it (more likely) mean that dealer's just aren't stocking them in favor of the other models? Has the Z06 been crowded out by the ZR1 on the top end, and the Grand Sport model pushing it off the lots from the low end? I mean, after all, it would nearly take an expert to tell the difference from the Grand Sport coupe and the Z06, so perhaps dealers just feel that the Z06 will now be a tougher sell.
Beats me, but it did strike me as odd. Anyone else seeing the possible demise of the Z06 on the horizon if this foretells a trend?
