1990 vette hood

My 90 vette's hood latch is broken and hoo is stuck down, can anybody help please.

There are a few remedies for this. BTDT.

Have someone "wiggle the hood slightly side to side while you attempt to free it. Doesn't usually work but hsd worked for some.

Ecklers, Davies Corvettes, etc all sett a tool (around $19.00) that will allow you with some patience, to go in through the door jamb and free the hood manually. My drivers side was a piece of cake. The passenger side was a PITA!!!

You can also make one, but as cheap as they are, I wouldn't waste the time...but thats me.

Finally, you can remove the tire, remove the side fender and go in though there. A lot of work but it works

Check out Mid America Motor Works . com Part# 609-637 it should help and when you buy a new cable make sure you buy a GM product this chinesse crap dont last , I bought one and it lasted 2 weeks for my 80 good thing I have a back up cable to open my in case it happens again . Also Shadow and Rick and everyone else check this part # for an emergency with the hood from Mid America 604-802
