DOES ANYONE KNOW...?
Does anyone know who manufactures an LED 3rd brake light system for a 2002 vert? I wanted to replace the 3rd brake light lens but learned the lens is not available individually--the entire unit must be purchased for $133.16! I figure might as well check out an LED system if one is available, instead of paying 133 bucks just so I can have a new lens. Thanks for any enlightenment!

Aren't the stock ones LED? I just went out and mashed the brake, i believe it is LED.

I went into the Mid America motorworks web site ( www.mamotorworks.com)and found the 3rd brake light assembly, but i'm not sure if it's "LED".?
It's offerede at $99.00

Thanks to all who responded. $99 is better than $133. I wonder how much the labor charge is to install. Looks like the trunk carpeting has to be removed in order to access the install site. I'd hate to do a "botch" job on it. Installing the 4 new LED tail lights was a no brainer. They are the reason the 3rd brake light looks dull and crappy now! I may just have to live with it.
