Default What I've been up to....

So I've been away a while with my car stuck at the office for nearly 6 months with no 3rd or 4th gear and pretty much stayed away from the Corvette scene (lost the 3 and 4 clutch packs in August). My trans guy said he was surprised the car made the 4 mile drive home for me to finally work it. The Reverse drum was only connected by about a 1/2" of material left. Removing the trans in the driveway sucks by the way since I can't leave her up in the air due to Largo city code enforcement (that ONLY comes around when I'M doing something). The only hard part of doing this myself was connecting the fittings on the stainless braided hoses for the rear-mounted trans cooler. I'll NEVER mess with that stuff again...ever! It's good to be back on the road.

BACK IN ACTION!

Yeah man, I can't imagine doing that kind of stuff laying on my back underneath my car. You have NO idea how many times I thanked my lucky stars for deciding to put a lift in my garage when I was having it built.

What kind of fittings were those that gave you such a fit? Hmm, maybe that's why they are called "fittings".

just push-to-connect AN fittings. The stainless braiding didn't want to cleanly cut to start, then when I finally got a smooth cut, it'd feather out when trying to attach the AN fitting. I'd just get the regular black AN hose if I had to do it again. It does look damn nice if you crawl under the car. LOL
