Z06Fever! Well, why not? Having one of these toys is definitely an illness for which there is no cure, so let's talk about this specific malady.

Smile LOWERING A ZO6

Hey guys whats up I have a question, about lowering my ZO6. What would be better buying the lowering bolts they have available for the C6 ZO6. I also heard that the C6 ZO6's factory suspension can be adjusted if it's true which would be better?

Default Depends..........

on how much work you want to put in it.
We do these all the time and we actually dont do either of these ways-

We remove the stock lowering puck, cut the bottom 2/3 off, coat them in Lithium grease along with the pockets and lower control arms, and re install them. Set your ride heights at the top of the wheel opening, measuring directly through the center of the wheel at 26 and 1/4 inches in the front and 27 inches in the rear.

I believe the C5Z rides lower than at least the regular C6 does, comparing our two. Even an inch lower and I would have real problems with some public area driveways. Heck, there is a really nice restaurant we like to go to (The Wharf) where if I'm not careful I will bottom the car out with the hump they have in the driveway off the main drag. I have to come in at an angle or I get a scrape when the car high centers.

Lowering? Not if I plan to drive it anywhere. It really looks good, but public roadways and commercial establishments are already pretty Corvette unfriendly when it comes to road smoothness.

Now, what we REALLY need are the kind of shocks where we can control ride height with a dial inside the car attached to a compressor that raises or lowers the four corners.
