Talking Looking for moderate/low millage late model C5

HI all,

Sold my 98 pacecar last year due to medical reasons but now I am back in the mkt for another vette.

I found a few locally and wanted to get an idea on what people thought was a good price for them as well as see if anyone has one that might meet my needs.

I found a 2004 silver with black top black interior and all the toys with 20K on it for 39,999 but that’s a bit more than I am looking to pay.

Next was a 2000 polo green with the tan (not my favorite color) with 59K on it for about $23,000

I am looking for a stock or moderately molested car. (Exhaust changes or cosmetic changes etc.) I want to use this as a daily driver, not looking for something that is raged out.

Must be ragtop and automatic. Color is not really important but no red or black. I like the silver, pewter, gray colors but for the right car/price I will consider something else. I have had all the dark colors in the past and they are a pain to keep clean, especially in the SFL sun.

Oh ya one more question... Can you get a hard top for the C5? I have never seen one. I know the C4 had them. If so where how much etc. Not sure hot it would mount as the C4 had the pins in the back but the C5 does not.
Thanx all

CJ,

Wecome to the site!

First thing I know off the top of my head is, there is a hartop available for the C5 and it's $3200 every where I've seen it. Ecklers (Site Sponsor to the left) has one I know of.

Here is a link to the top from Ecklers.

As far as the colors go, I love silver. My other two choices would be a blue or the Spiral Gray. I can't remember what years the gray was on.

Don't know if your willing to travel, or have a car shipped, but here's one from Kerbeck (Worlds largest Corvette dealer, according to them).

2002 Corvette Convertible 12187 Miles $33,990

That to me, is a decent price. I'm sure you'll find some dealers that charge more and some less. Just have to do a little work I guess.

Here is a link to a dealer that I live 5 minutes from called The Toy Store. If you need me to check out any or take some pictures, I'd be glad to. Just let me know. To me, they seem a little over priced on the Vert's though.

Any way, welcome to the site. Any other questions, just ask.

Scott

04 Verts are commanding hefty price tags in nice condition. I would rather spend a few extra $'s on a lower mile one though. You usually get what you pay for. Also, would try and find one you know where and who owned and maintained it.

Spiral Gray would be my choice, that color just pops in the sun.

Clean 04 Verts are still bringing more than 04 Z06's.

Jack
