First off, welcome to the site. What year is your 'vette? Are you changing the batt. each time or just jumping it to get it going? C-5's are notorious for having the factory batt. go bad with no warning. Might be just time to change it if you haven't already done so.

first off

I would look for loose connections at the battery terminals and whatnot. Then maybe take the battery to a parts store to be checked. Maybe its a new battery gone bad. It happens.

Advance Auto will do a check of your ignition system for free and may be able to see if you have something pulling on the battery or if it's the battery going bad. They may find an answer for you ...............Tom

Default If your car is a 6sp manual...

Don't I remember something about having to park the early '05's in REVERSE to avoid a drain on the battery??

Nope. I remember reading something about this on CF. Part of the DBS (Dead Battery Syndrome) on the '05's. Was a problem w/ 6sp manual only...did not apply to auto. I believe GM came out with a fix to have the dealer re-flash the computer. Suggest a search on CF...Good Luck!

I have an 06 and when I purchased it the dealer told me to be sure that when it is parked to put it in rev. so the battery will not drain. They say it shuts all elec. down.
