General BS forum I guess this will be for anything that would seem to be off topic in any other forum here. Just general shootin' the breeze kind of topics. |

Aw darn it!
I just sold my Jeep Wrangler to one of my workers, and come to find out my title isn't where it SHOULD be in the folder. So now I have to figure out where it wandered off to within the last 5 years or so. Dang it, it SHOULD have been in that folder!
How tough is it to get a duplicate title made up? If it is lost in my den, it would take me YEARS to find it. My den is the stuff that nightmares are made from.

I really don't think it's too hard to get another title. I'm just not sure where to go. Is it the local Tax collector's office? That would make sense. Let us know if you find it.

As long as the title was in your name, it's easy. Happens all the time. You go to the tax collector's office and ask for a dupe title. It's been some time since I did that, but I think I remember that regular service is about two weeks (to receive it, not stand in line), but that you could get rush service for an additional fee.

Yeah, it shouldn't be any big deal, I think. I just have to make out a bill of sale for the buyer and he can still put his own tag on the Jeep and drive off with it. He's already paid me for it.........

Perhaps..... If the right one comes along. With any luck, someone will have a sweet one for a real deal at the UCP coming up. Boy, wouldn't that be something? Drive down in one vette and come home in two...... Maybe I'd better take that tag off of the Jeep and carry it along with me, just in case.

Well, that's a start, anyway.............. Think the wife would get upset if I bought her a C5 in kit form?

My friend just traded in his C6 on a BMW M6. He lost his title. The BMW dealer charged him $75 for a new title.

Well, since the guy works for me, I have the Jeep AND I have his money, I guess I don't have to worry too much about holding the short end of the stick with this....
