Eastern indigos are GOOD to have around because they will attack and eat venomous snakes around. I used to work with them when I was up in Maryland and they are about the most intelligent and personable snakes around. Matter of fact we saw an indigo snake at the Bok Preserve while we were there. They are rapidly being driven to extinction because their favored habitat also happens to be habitat that real estate developers favor. And we all know who will win that contest......

Where i hunt in Levy county i see some very big indigos, i mean like 8ft +, even had them slither over my feet while sitting waiting to shoot a treerat.

I've seen a water moccasin on my property before.... almost hit it with the mower. Slid off into the ditch nearby.

Indigos are very cool snakes. One of my regrets moving down to Florida from Maryland was that I had to give up my breeding colony of them. I REALLY wish I had some living around me, but so far have never seen any. Connie THINKS she saw one years ago, but is not positive.

Corn snakes are generally shades of orange and red. That is the species I work with. Of course, I have them in ALL kinds of colors.

Yes, those are ALL corn snakes......

Hey Rich, I hope you aren't thinking about propagating these cute little scorpions. Maybe the snakes will eat em.
