Default Car cover risks in Florida

Sheesh.... They don't tell you in the ad copy about car covers that scorpions just LOVE to hide out on the inside edges, right where your fingers would do when lifting it off the vehicle. I've found several of them now when uncovering the cars. Got to be REAL careful about how I take the darn things off.

Never been stung by one, but I understand they pack a pretty good jolt!

Actually if your allergic to bee's you are probly allergic to them!!!I got nailed right in the middle of my back by my spine about 4 times when I laid on one in the carpet of my living room!!! It made me sick for a couple days and I had a Goose Egg on my back for about 10 days!!! They are some what venomous!!!Bee's don't bother me but that Little Bastard Did!!!! Right Now, here in NC I have to worry about CopperHeads Laying between the Cover and Bottom of the Front Bumper!! Killed 2 so far this year!!!

Fortunately the Florida variety is not deadly, but there ARE some scorpions that are capable of killing an adult human being. These suckers can get through some almost unbelievably small openings to turn up in some very surprising places. I'm surprised that one of my toes hasn't discovered one yet that decided to hole up in my shoe.....

REALLY?! Damn, I never had anything under my car cover except for the ocassional bits of grass that get under there when they do the lawn.

Never had any bugs or critters. One of the advantages of not living in the sticks I guess.
