He's a rock n roller, but his music is very original, not like anything else out there. It is very complex in the structure of the music, no 3 chord jams here....
So much of "new country" is a complete crossover to rock n roll it's almost funny. Back in the day, Lynryd Skynrd, Allman Bros., Outlaws, Marshall Tucker, Creedence Clearwater, hell, they'd all been country. So we're crossing over too.
Back in 96' when I returned to Florida, I told my brother then where new country was going and he was so against having anything to do with country he basically wouldn't even talk about it. Even then I could see how the approach to the instrumentation and writing was slowly going rocknroll.
Told him then that he could have be the one to revolutionize guitar work in country. Six months ago he came to me and told me how much he'd wished he'd listened to me. It went down exactly as I told him it would ten years ago. That's why he's asked me to come on board.
We'll be setting up a website with samples here very shortly and will keep you informed. It's exciting and kinda scarey at the same time.
