Now I can save up and buy the killer system I want and not be forced to settle due to kid/grandkid pressure
You'll have plenty of time!!

Jezzzzzus,I stayed in the wrong business,$250 to change out a $2.00 fuse!!
My electronics skills pricing around here have just tripled!

Keep the dust and humidity out of it and it'll probly last another 10 years!!

It was actually the bulb...probably a whopping $20.00 part costing $.40 to manufacture in some 3rd world sweatshop

I'm with you on the lifespan. Hell, we were discussing it tonight and now isn't the best time for a $2k+ purchase, and I really didn't want to settle just for the sake of settling.

This way, I can save, take my time and research, look, watch, blah blah blah....and eventually, get what I'd like to have for the house.
Then, I'll need a house like PalmBeachs'

We're thinking of passing this one along to one of the kids when we do....whoever moves first

I learned a lot here:

I bought mine from here for 40% off:

This place usually has good deals:

Thanks Rick

Guy came out today, unscrewed about 4 screws, slide one unit out and literally slid another in. Buttoned her up, turned her on and a beautiful picture again

Handed him a check and got his card for the next person that needs a quick, reliable tech in the area

Now....to start the research.

I see a lot of home theatre store sitting in my future.

I wonder if I can bring my rum and coke?

Yeah, this is the place I buy my HDMI cables from. I can't believe the prices that the retail stores will try to soak you for these things.

Default TV

Just bought a 55" Vizio LED 120 HZ. Picture quality and sound good. TV also has built in wireless network capabilities; using widgets you can watch netfix etc. Bought the TV from SAMS CLUB. Good value for your buck.

I'm looking for the basic Vizio 55". I think you have the fancier model. Mind me asking what you paid?

Was real lucky, mine was a bring back because the sound was not supposed to be working, but it was just turned off in the set-up. I paid $1078, SAMS has them right now for $1378.

Good Luck

Good for you. Sounds like a deal in your favor. Not often the consumer comes out ahead. Thanks for the info.
