Saw this in the paper on Tuesday the 23rd.
Look at the text right below the car...........................

Toyota will now be getting the rap until the big 3 start looking good again...Then once one of them stumbles you will see the opposite take place...

Toyota is still a good company with a good product who will no doubt be around a long time to come...

Ouch

I don't blame anyone (except our gubmint) for taking advantage of Toyota's troubles. I'm sure the tables will turn and Toyota dealers will reply in kind.

I have a recalled Camry, although I still have not received a notice

It's a lease and it's up in March. We have called to see if they would negotiate a buyout with similar terms that they are offering for new car buyers but they are not interested. Big companies are always too slow to react and when they finally do, it's usually too late.

With each development I'm more confused about what the real cause is and how much is piling on from its biggest competitor with the NTSB department. As much as we like the car, it's probably best to end our ownership and move on.

Too bad for Toyota, they are losing a faithful customer.

Toyota and other imports put the American Auto industry on notice .I firmly believe that it's time for every US citizen to read labels and see where the parts are from and assembly points .It's a hard task but buying USA is only helping our own economy which we need.Put you and your neighbor first .

Lately I've begun to look at the label and if it's union made I try to find another brand.

I agree. I have a Chevy and a Ford in my garage but Toyota actually is made in the US. Georgetown Kentucky. 20 miles north of Lexington.

I wonder if it matters anymore?! The Toyota may be made here, but where does the money go? Then again, many Chevys are made in Mexico and Canada....and many sub-asssemblies are made elsewhere.
