The Vats usually will reset itself 10-15 min. but sometimes it's as long as 35-40!!! But after it resets if it don't get a good contact again,it will go back through the reset mode!!!

Ah I see.So it could take longer. then 10-15. I wonder if I am triggering it when I get into it in the mornings!! But I do what I do every morning is the same. Well I will change the switches. I am going to change the fuel filter today also. I am sure it needs it.

I think I will get a new key or pellet also. That is a cheap enough to eliminate the pellet in the key.

You can Trouble shoot the column and key easy while your there!!! Put the leads of the ohm meter in the plug of the column and watch it closely while you put the key in and turn to the start position,(You should get a resistance reading as soon as u put the key in!!) and if it breaks contact while doing so at any time, the pellet or lock contacts are bad!! Or Both!!: Even just stick the key in and try to shake it around,if it looses contact there is something bad!!

Great I didn't know that. I will do that also before I spend the money on a key or pellet.

Still doing it. Friday I get off work and left the doors unlocked to eliminate the security sand it did it to me again ,just sat there and cranked. So I got home and took a taxi back to the base and it fired right up. I ma out of ideas unless it is the fuel filter or injectors.
