Default Cold Air Intake?

In trying to decide between the Callaway Honker and Vararam for my '07 A6, I'm familiar with the concerns about water ingestion w/ Vararam but am not familiar with the design of the Callaway. Does the Callaway have the same "low scoop" design as the VR? Does the same risk for water exist? Would like some replies from those who are familiar with both....

I believe that both those systems use panel filters. I only install the Lingenfelter Kit on C6's.......Cone filter is the way to go!!!!! The fit and finish of it is great.

From what I have heard, many people tend to complain about the "cheap" feel of the parts in the Vararam kit and praise the quality of the Honker. But there is a substantial price differential there.

As for water ingestion, I think as long as you don't do something REALLY dumb, like driving through large bodies of water at high speed, you will be OK with either of them.
