Anybody just see Tony Stewart pushing the Corvette Pace car in the Texas race? NASCAR asked him to back off......and he did
He had the nose of the #20 right up under the back of that vette..

Pretty cool! I think they "Nascar" could afford to fix any damage or defer the cost to Tony. It was sort of a doubletake.......like did he really do that!

Linda, I did notice that Tony got a little agressive with the pace car. I think he was having sooo much fun that he just could not help himself. USA-1 is exactly right, this was something that Dale Sr. used to do as well.

BTW, was that the same Z06 that they used for the Daytona 500? Sure looked like the same paint scheme to me.

It sure looked like the same paint scheme. And, yes I remember seeing Dale Sr doing much the same .....nice memories.

He does that to the pace car quite often. When he won the IROC series this year he told them to keep the purse (1 Million) and come next year to his dirt track in Indiana.

I may-be wrong, and the Stewart-haters will come-outta the wood-work on me when I say this, but Stewart is the closest-thing to a 'throw-back' that NASCAR has these days (18 Feb '01 be-damned ) in that he's probably willing to race anybody, anytime, anywhere.....

..... for nothing-more than a trophy.....

..... just so he could eat a steak-dinner afterwards with the biggest trophy at his table, showing it to his friends.
