help on squeeky belts.....please....
greetings all, I have a GREMLIN in my vette and would like some solid info on a fix please. When I purchased my vette, it had a small squeel with the belts. I figured no biggie, I would just change em. Well,, I changed em, main drive belt was easy, the accessory belt was a little more of a challenge but,, DONE. There was silence for about 5 hrs. then, back to the squeeky stuff. I know for sure it's the accessory belt. Is there some type of adjustment that I missed? I don't like my dream car with squeeks..
thanks in advance....

Is it possible it's one of the pulleys and not the belt itself? Maybe removing the belt and checking the pulleys one by one would help.

It would help if we knew what year your car is.
FYI, C-5s had idler and tensioner pulley problems resulting in squeeking. They also had Harmonic Balancer issues resulting in squeeks and belt throwing.
