Default c4 problem

I'm a new member so if i goof up please excuse me.

I have two questions:

The dash digital display on my "94 (with auto) lights up orange but the info is VERY dim. Thats about all I can tell you about it except it happened suddenly.

Second, is there a way to restore remote door lock and rear deck functions after replacing the origional Delco am/fm/cassette radio with a Pioneer unit?

The antenna operates normally. Aparently the remote commands go through the radio to the Body Control Module?

Since this is my first post and I don't know my way around this site yet it might be best to reply both here and to my e-mail: malabarbud@yahoo.com

thanks in advance, Bud

Check with Greg @ AntiVenom (one of the sponsors here). He's pretty knowlegeable on the C4 and might be able to assist you.

I"m sure someone else here will be as well.

The lights? I know it sounds silly, but did you check the rheostat (sp?).

Might have inadvertantly turned it down. Might be on it's last leg?

Just a guess.

Oh, and you did well.....

Is it just the back lighting in the DIC or HVAC too??

Depends on how they wired it in,If done Correctly shouldn't have effected the PKE at all!

I have the exact same problem with my 95 the orange lights up but all the LCD numbers are very light grayish color.I is impossible to see you milage temp ect.I can barelly make out my MPH.

Let me know if you find the problem I was gona pull my cluster out when it gets warmer and maybe get a used one to replace it with.
A guy I know that works on CNC machines says there should be an adjustment but I don't think so.He works on our CNC machines and you can adjust them with a knob,I don't think the cluster has an adjustment
