Default ac belt C5

i just changed out my accesory belt and was going to do the a/c. it looked a little more burried and it started raining so i decided to play with it during better weather. what is the easiest way to do it? looks like taking off the thermostat housing and going from top. but then again ive never done it before. also why 2 belts? why not just one?

Talking Help!!!

Top:
Put your socket on the pulley tensioner as if you were going to tighten it - and do just that. As it rotates the pulley, it will relieve the tension on the belt, allowing you to slip it off.

Bottom:
The A/C belt can be a bit tricky. Tackle it from underneath using the same technique.

Hope that helps!!
JIM
