I've also read some threads on the differences in brakes available, So... Porcelain brakes here I come!

OK....I'll ask...... Not to hijack the thread, but what are porcelain brakes? What are the pros/cons compared with the original brakes? What's the "average" mileage for OEM brakes before they need replaced? Is there someplace here that I can look for answers/tips/hints etc? I did a search on "porcelain brakes" and it just came up with this one thread. Any will be appreciated !

I think he actually means ceramic brake pads. They don't squeal and generate far less dust than the stock pads. They're OK for street use but if you intend to track your car, forget ceramics. You'll need a much more aggressive compound.
