Parking, leaving the top down...
Is it JUST me, am I just Paranoid... I never leave my top down when I park the Vette.
I was waiting in the parking lot, parked next to angel's car (she had a hair appointment ) and I saw this Vette in the lot parked with their top down. I was there waiting for over 45 minutes, I even cleaned my wheels while waiting and they still hadn't come out. Seems like an awful long time to leave your top down.
I did however use the opportunity to leave a Website flyer in the drivers seat by the way.
Note:This parking lot is really big, and is for many stores.

No, it's not just you...... I only leave the top down when I know that I am coming right back out and then only when I see the vette from inside.
Too many crazy people putting flyers on the seats

Always
I've owned Verts since '56 and Corvette Convertibles since '67. I've gone away in a mall leaving the top down for hours. Once I left my wallet (carry cash in a clip ) sitting on the console. Went to a show, dinner and when I came back it was still there! In the past 51 years I have never had anything stolen out of a top down Vert. I assume perps must think there couldn't be anything worth stealing if the idiot leaves it unattended???

Never left the targa top out of my C4 when I had it (and it was a pain to put in and take out), and I never leave the windows down in the Z06......

my old firebird id take the t-tops off for the day. id locked anything i had in the glove compartment. i dont leave my c5 topless unless im just running in and out of a store. one of the reasons i plan on putting an alarm on it though is so i can leave the top off. i dont leave anything in it, but i dont want to come out of the mall and find some kids sitting in my car. the a$$ whopping that would ensue would surely land me in a holding cell.

If I'm at the grocery store I'll leave the top off and NOT park under a tree or power lines, etc. cause like Steve said I'm coming right out. (You know those little birds are just waiting for an invitation to make a deposit) But, I put the windows up and leave nothing to tempt anyone. Of course, someone could throw a flyer in there without much trouble! If I'm going to be away from the car for longer the top goes on. No worries... When I had the C4 I'd just place the top on but not bother bolting it down. With the C5 it's so much easier to put it back on.

I only leave the top off for a quick in and out of a store. No more than five minutes. I don't know, I am just a worry wart.

I went to the FL State Fair Saturday, and saw a Chevy display area inside the main hall.
Get this... I see 2 Vettes in the display. A Lemans Blue Z06 C6, and a red C6 Vert. Friggin rug rats climbing all over them. The batteries were disconnected for fire safety in the buildings, so guess what,,,, THEY WERE CLIMBING IN THE WINDOWS LIKE DUKES OF HAZZARD!
They climbed over the doors of the vert, and right through the open windows of the Z06! $77,000 car (plus dealer mark-up) and they are climbing on it like a jungle gym! The hand prints alone were making my skin crawl! They even climbed into the hatch of the Z06 and figured out how to open the hatch with the manual pull cord and let their frinds climb in the back! No real salesmen around to stop them, just some promo girls trying to get your name on a sheet for a "contest" which was really a sales call or mass junk mailing scheme.

We've always had some kind of convertible for the last 30 years or so and I've always left the top down when we're out in the car.
Luckily, the weather is always nice. Hell, if it's raining, I'll take the Caddy!
But back to the original question.
Yes, we leave the top down all the time.
