Default Will someone please talk me out of this....

I am really getting this idea squirming around in my head to get a Maggie supercharger. I need something like I need a hole in my head big enough to fit a grapefruit through, so I need you all to tell me the downsides. I'm doing a big reptile show in a couple of weekends, and if I do real well there (fingers crossed) I may have some play money to spend.

I don't drag race and don't particularly tear up the roads when I drive, so what in the world is getting in to me?

The MOD bug. If you want to I'll be a good friend and take it off your hands when you buy it so you won't feel the guilt!

Can't talk you out of this one my friend. I rode in that supercharged Lingenfelter a week or so ago and that has been all I have been thinking about. The way it accelerates is just unbelievable! If you have the money I would highly recommend it. I think you would need a new hood to.

Yeah, I would definitely need a new hood, as the Maggie won't fit under the stock one. But that's not really an issue, since I have so many rock chips on mine that I was considering getting it repainted anyway. So if I am going to do that, why not get a NEW hood? And if I am going to get a new hood, why not get one a Maggie would fit under? And if I am going to get a hood that a Maggie would fit under, well why not get a Maggie?

Heck, though, the real brick wall to all this is that I don't think there is anyone locally who would do this sort of work. And I really don't want to send my car off (adding another expense) to someone several hours or more away. So all in all, THIS may be the real show stopper to this whole idea.

It sounds logical to me.

You can also go with the STS TT setup.

Awesome power and you keep your hood.

Nothing else matters except that your Z would sound like this! Ain't nothing wrong with that.

Not sure Ivo. I thought it was a Maggie because of the hood. Someone posted it somewhere and I just loved the sound of it, so I saved it.
