Default Painting my fuel rail covers

I'm excited. I dropped off my fuel rail covers to a local guy who custom paints motorcycles. This guy does amazing work. I should have them back in another week, week and a half. Solid color was about $130 or a custom job is $375. He does real flames, true fire, whatever you want to call it.

Mine are going to be black with red themed lightning bolts. I have a fascination with lightning. I have several prints hanging on the walls of my house. My wife hates it.

I'll be sure to update the thread when I get them back. They obviously won't be ready for the Corvettes @ the Pier show this weekend, but they will for the Dimmitt show.

Here's the guys website. He has thousands of pictures on there. I wish I had a motorcycle so I could paint it!

EDIT: Just got these pics in from Scott at Attitude Custom Painting. They look amazing!!! I should be able to pick them up Thu/Fri this week. Just in time for the Dimmitt Show.

Thanks for the link, those are beautiful paint jobs. Did you send your OEM fuel rail covers or did you need to buy smoothie covers? Are you considering the radiator and tank covers as well?
I am looking to do soemthing similar with real flames.

Please post pics when you geth them back.

I sent the OEM ones. He is a professional and will sand it down and apply an adhesive. For now it's all I plan on doing. I'm not into it looking too busy underneath the hood. I may add a little carbon fiber or something, not sure yet.

I will definitely post pics when I get them back.

He does some amazing stuff with the real flames on them.

Those look sweet. Did that job run you $375.00?

I'll have to keep that guy in mind when I go in to do some work.

I wish I knew how to paint like that.

Hell, if I had covers that looked THAT good I would be searching the universe for a completely clear hood! I'm sure SOMEONE must have thought of that idea at one time or another......
