Well, the good news is that I haven't been banned there.... yet. I wrote a PM to the owner of the site last night, since I noted he had not been online since 12/26, but no response yet.

They have a feedback forum for use by supporting members and vendors. I posted a query about this issue there. And guess what? The text of my message was deleted and the thread LOCKED! I have the honor of being the ONLY member with a locked thread in their FEEDBACK FORUM. I wondered how come that section had so few posts in it. Duh...... I actually thought they WANTED feedback.

Yeah, I know I told Gannet in another thread that I would not "bash" CF, and really I am not doing it in that manner intentionally. I am simply posting the facts of my experience in this situation. I posted a link here to that thread on CF because I thought it was an important issue for people to be aware of. And I did contact not only the moderator there who locked it, but as well posted in their feedback forum to give them feedback on what I personally thought was an ill considered decision. And I contacted the site owner as well. So it is not like I am talking behind their backs at all about this. No, they are not obligated to listen to me, but throwing a muzzle on me? Is that the way to treat a lifetime GOLD member?

I don't see what you have shared as CF Bashing. I have only been on there site since your post. I only became a member of their forum so that I could place a post in THAT thread. I was very interested in the end result and the advice that was given. If it had been my thread I would not only be upset with the dealership, but now I would also be upset with the CF for not allowing me to receive advice and support from my peers. IMO

I don't think this counts as bashing. Hope that doesn't seem too inconsistent.

A specific complaint about a specific deal, yeah, fair game, and this is certainly a case in point. I think what I was on about before (if I can remember that far back; it's hell gettin old) was that I thought we were slipping into just random bad-mouthing any time their name got mentioned, and/or going out of our way to find some reason to complain about them.

The place has a lot of faults, but it's far the biggest game in town, and I've been on worse. I think they need to dump their lawyers and take the stick out of their ass, but that's me.

I've been passing PMs back and forth with the guy who got his car wrecked. Apparently he was supposed to have this all wrapped up today, but of course it didn't happen.

I think the pressure is off of the dealer, so he is going to just stonewall and stall hoping the guy gets frustrated enough to just walk away and take the loss on the chin.....

What a shame.. I truely believe that the power of 140,543 member being turned off by 1 member has seriously damaged his opportunity to fight this problem.

I think he is just hoping the dealer is being sincere and is trying to smooth things over. Apparently the dealer is a "rich bitch" and the guy is concerned that he may resort to some dirty pool to get even. I would think any car dealership would be scared to death of some pissed off guy at 3am with a slingshot and a pocket full of steel ball bearings.......
