Banner advertising?

Well, I have decided to set up a vertical column advertising space on the left hand side of the page to accept 120x60 graphic banner ads. Honestly, I never looked at this from the perspective of members desiring to have advertisers displayed so they could have some quick links to their pages. But in retrospect, I certainly have done the same thing myself..... And I think it may actually help in the acceptance of this site as being legitimate with advertisers visibly showing their participation and support in an obvious manner.

Advertising rates are going to be VERY modest. Only $1 per day per banner. I'm not planning on getting rich off of this and I think that should be very attractive to just about everyone even slightly interested in advertising here to us Florida Corvette fanatics.

I hope to have this functional over the next few days, so if you know of some favorite vendors you would like to see displayed here, not only to help out this site, but to also help promote them as well, let them know about it for me, please.

Well I had my programmer put in a vertical column for me, but he doesn't like the way it looks, and neither do I. I may take a look at a front end portal program instead, but I think there may be some issues with the skin I am using for this site. Maybe a long column of advertisers wouldn't look so blech looking......... Maybe it will grow on me after a while...
