Default porsche

Last Thursday night I went to the local Corvetes of Naples meeting. A new corvette owner came and brought his friend. His friend has a porsche. He told me he went in for an oil change and 12,000 mile check-up. This cost $800.

Ouch!

I read somewhere that Ferraris have to have the timing chain replaced every 7500 miles or so to the tune of several grand. I guess if you have the money to burn, then burn it.............

The Ferrari Enzo's brakes are something like $6k or $8k to replace every few thousand miles or one hard auto cross day later.

I had read recently about the Ferrari Enzo, the complete brake job with rotors $25,000. When you pay over 1 million for a car, I guess that is what you woud have to expect.

The article I read I don't remember much about any more. Except the price of the brake job. The magazine borrowed the Enzo from a contractor/builder and his son so they could put the car through a few tests for a supercar comparison.

My next door neighbor had a Porsche Carrera. It was a nice car but every time it needed work he'd have to take it to Mobile, Al. I guess there's no place closer that works on Porsches.
