Default Exhaust Tips

Well when I signed on I said I would have a bunch of questions and most would be dumb... so here's the first.
I just purchased a 2001 coupe (my First) and it has the stock exhaust. To me the tips are lacking in appearance. I've been searching, but can't seem ti find any. They stop at 2000. Does anyone make tips for a 2001. I plan on upgrading the exhaust in the future, but would like something now. Thanks
Rick

Hmm, maybe most people go to after market catbacks? I held onto my Ti Z06 catbacks off of my '02 C5Z when I had the twin turbos installed because I thought my wife might get another C5 and I would swap those for her stock mufflers. DEFINITELY a better exhaust system! But we got a C6 instead.......

Well I crawled under the car and see the stock tips are permanaetly attached. Guess that's why there's no aftermarket ones.

Hey, the tips are definitely lacking in appearance. I put a MagnaFlow cat back system on mine about 2 weeks after I bought it. Looks much better Would have liked them a little loader, though

Hi Rick. I am not sure what you are looking for but perhaps a really really high almost chrome shine would make you happier. Check out Nakidparts.com. He is a corvette Forum vendor and has a stainless steel polishing kit that has a buffing tip that fits on your power drill and into the exhaust outlets and then you use the different grades of buffing compounds and voila- SHINY. I think it runs about 30-35.00 or so. I hope this helps. If you can't find this info, send me a pm and I will help that way. Mark

Yes your tips are lacking in appearance. I replaced mine with Borla Stingers Oval Tips and they have much more Appearance Not to mention a better sound and a small upgrade in performance.
