I clicked on "Quote" on this, your last message, and it took a few seconds to get this dialog box. I exited out and tried it again to time it but the second time it was very fast getting to this dialog box.
By the way, I like this color scheme and thank you very much for the time and effort you put in to keep this forum going. We are not going anywhere, we are sticking here with you, man.

I was still on "default," flipped myself back to "red and black." Logician (our vB guy) says he tidied up that warning message about old templates that I saw, so I'm guessing the fancier skin will be OK now.
The "Vote" spinner over on the left sidebar looks better with the gray background, anyway.

Still having an occasional glitch. Once today I couldn't access the site and again slow trying to make posts. Three times I got " IE cannot display this page"

Thanks for the update. If I may ask, are you on cable, DSL, or dialup?
I've been monitoring for the last week, and (except for the nightly shower and shave which most servers do around 2AM) things have been pretty solid, at least as seen from the big Internet hub in Virginia. These boxes have been running a little more reliably than the one where I'm running the monitoring software, in fact!
I think I'll toss another box or two into the monitor pool, so I can view them as Comcast and a typical DSL provider see them.

Cable via Road Runner
When I experience a problem I always try a couple other sites and there's no issues. I had the same issue on Tuesday. If I just close everything out, wait about one minute everything is usually back up to speed.
Where I hit the most snags is after I have read a thread and hit the back button, hit's like pulling the emergency brake. Also it slowed way down when I was trying to post. Since my last post here., no problems and I've been in and out about 5 times.

I have been experiencing similar performance as C5Rick over the last few days. After I read a thread and hit the back button, it just seems to sit there and grind for a while and when this happens most of the time I get the cannot display the page message. This also happens from time to time if I try to refresh the screen. This happens occassionally and other times it performs fine!
I also am using cable but through Comcast. I am not experiencing this on CF or the Z16 forum.
I hope this helps!
Rich

I'm still getting periods where I have to click twice on a thread or even click the browser's refresh button in order to get a page to display. In between those periods, it does run very well, but it is quite aggravating when it happens.

Hey Rich, sorry to say, sometimes just fine, other times the double click followed by back arrow then forward again but it is getting better with each drop of sweat you shed.
I appreciate your unending efforts. I really enjoy this forum and the "family"
Ken
