General Florida DiscussionsAnything related to Florida in general. From "natives" talking about things they know about, to visitors asking about details to make their visit more pleasant.
Connie and I were down in Sanibel Island for the month of June, and this little critter was out there every time I looked, apparently feeling threatened by his own reflection in the glass. He sure liked putting on a show.
Location: 25 miles south of Boston, MA. Also have a house in Dunedin FL.

Neat looking critter, and a great video! Quite a little showman there!
Are there any lizards/anoles/geckos in Florida that are poisonous?
Just don't want to hook up with any that are.
Andy
No, there are no venomous lizards in Florida. Matter of fact, there are only two venomous lizards in the world that I am aware of. Mexican beaded lizard and the gila monster, both desert dwelling creatures. Some evidence points to the komodo dragon being possibly venomous but some think it is just the bacteria load in the mouth combined with a powerful anticoagulant in the saliva.
But you are not very likely to run into any of those critters.
