Default Fun time in Ormond Beach antiques car show this past Sunday

This show had cars from 1903 to late 40s early 50s. My '66 was the newest. I never saw these cars before except in magazines. Over 75 cars showed up. It was the coolest car show I entered.

Sounds like that would be a neat cruise (to) for next year. Maybe we could get a few of us together.

I wish people would utilize the event calendar on this site so we could ALL know about such things easily. I filled in a bunch of events a while back, but I'm not sure anyone even noticed.

Would be nice if the people running such events would make the effort to effectively spread the word, but I guess that's asking for too much. Or maybe it's just that this little podunk site isn't worth their efforts.

I fill 'em in also when I know about them in a timely manner. This one crept upon me with no time to reach out and post.

Thanks. I wish more people would use it. Honestly, that's about the only place I look lately when Connie starts talking about going to some car show somewhere.

Nice pics. But why the fire extinguishers in front of many of the cars?

My first with the fire extinguishers. This was an AACA sponsored car show. They, and other organizations require each car to have a fire extinguisher. It is asked that they're conspicuously displayed- usually by the front tire- so the judges don't have to go searching the car for it.

Ha! I thought I was the only one driving around with a fire extinguisher in my car. I keep one close at hand when driving the blue car. I'm still expecting I have a flaming death in store for me and/or that car some day.
