I always look forward to a nice drive in the Vette but don't know Florida that well. I been messing around with the computer this afternoon looking for places to drive when I get back to Florida in September and found the following website.

http://www.visitflorida.com/experience/tours/

You can choose from Tours on a Tankfull, Theme Tours and Scenic Road Tours. Each section then lets you choose a region in the state.

Though some of you might like to try it.

There's a local newscaster that has done several "One tank trip" books. You can get them at any bookstore. I've lived here all my life (50+ years) and there are still so many places I've yet to visit.

The website you noted looks like a good one.

Maybe we could get some interest here and caravan on some 1 tank tours when you get back?

Hey Lou!

This looks like a great reference site. Since I am in a similar situation as you are with homes in two states, my wife and I have not seen much of Florida except what is around the SW side. I think this site will come in handy for me.

Thanks
Rich

That would be great!! My wife and I would love to do that.
Nothing better than meeting nice people, going for a drive, grabbing something to eat and enjoying life.

One thing that may be interesting to note.... Saturday the wife and I drove down to Seffner, and the down trip we took route 41 to Brooksville, then 98 over to 301. On the up trip back home, we took 301 to 98 and continued on 98 all the way to nearly our back yard. Gasoline prices were MUCH lower on the route 41 trip than they were all up and down route 98. By as much as 20+ cents per gallon for the hi-test stuff. That's quite a difference for such a minor distance apart on those routes.....
