new engine question
I have a 67 vette with a stock 327. I have every intention of keeping the original 327, but want to increase the "fun factor" of the car. Therefore, we are going to purchase a block and upgrade the parts and install it and enjoy it. So here are a few questions.
1. Would it be better to go with a 350 or 327?
2. Would a 2-bolt or 4-bolt main be better?
3. Should I upgrade the transmission with a 5th gear overdrive?
4. Will the stock wheels handle the new power?
Thanks for your help and oh yeah, if you can think of anything else that I might be forgetting let me know.

350.
4 bolt.
your choice....but it will involve a $4500 conversion. The shifter will even be in the same spot, nice package. Were doing one now if you stop in to see.
We have several small blocks from mild to wild in the shop now for sale.
Heres one carb to pan for $1500!:

I would agree, the 350 would give you an almost unlimited number of upgrades available. Power and Appearance.

I agree. The 350 will be a great base to do just about anything you want/need to do
Definately go 4 bolt if you're going to the trouble to build
I'd upgrade the tranny as well.

Thanks for the info. However, I am definitely interested in doing the work myself. With that in mind, if I go with a 4 bolt main 350, am I going to have to do a conversion kit? If so, is it readily available?
thanks again,
Tom

Not sure what you mean by conversion?
Are you looking for mounts, trans adapter, wiring harness???
