Default 2nd Amendment poll

http://www.usatoday.com/news/quickqu.../popup5895.htm

Pretty interesting. Out of 76,000 votes, 98 percent are agreeing YES! to the poll question: Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms?

Yes but time and the stupid availability and insane use of those weapons will, in time, change the interpretation of the 2nd ammendment.

Legally, not without a constitutional amendment.

Blaming the guns for their use is pretty much the same as blaming the car for driving over the speed limit. IMHO...

I think you need to keep in mind that a group of people called the Supreme Court are the nations "interrupters" of the "meaning" of the Constitution.

I don't believe a constitutional amendment would be required if the Supreme Court in their "wisdom" choose to see the meaning of the 2nd as something other then the face value of the amendment.

With that said, you who know me and my back ground know exactly where I stand on the issue.

There would be so much uproar if they were questioning what the Founding Fathers meant when writing the First Amendment. A much more vague and open to interpretation of an American Freedom rather than a very simply worded statement establishing a right of the citizenry to protect Life, Liberty, and Property from all Invaders both Foreign and Domestic.

IMHO,

They would have an impossible time. Heck law enforcement can't lawfully find out who bought what without probable cause to believe that that person used a very specific gun in the commission of a felony, believe me.
