Default New Sponsor*TAMPA TUNING*

Well Ive taken a leap of faith and generated a website called Tampa Tuning. My site is not as flashy as other shop sites, nor are my rates. Im located in south Tampa about 3 miles from MacDill AFB.

For those who dont know me, Ive been tuning for about five years, and the last two years, Ive been to the basic and advanced tuning schools several times as a student and as donor car for students to work on.

I have found that most corvette owners mainly enjoy a light tranny tune to tune out the slugging of the A4 and A6 transmissions, and the removal of torque mangement tables. Ive found that F body owners enjoy a full tune....and a cam....and heads.....and gears.....oh wait, that's what I did

So with that in mind, Im offering an introductory price on stock or bolt on corvettes for a tranny tune and delete of torque manangement for $150.00 on 1997-2005 models and for 2006 and above for a rate of $175.00

If you have had your car tuned by a shop which is not a sponsor on here, and it needs a touch up, Id be happy to talk to you about a quick fix.

Stop by and visit my site:

Thanks
Phil

Phil wanted to look at my tune so I sent it to him. He made several changes and returned it to me. I made a few scanned runs and everything looks good so I'll run it July 14 at PBIR and let ya know how it did in the performance and consistency department.

Thanks Phil

When you going to run it? Might want to change the date.

Looking forward to the outcome of the eval

Well crap, no wonder I'm late for everything. IF the cars done I mean Aug 14. The Vette Doctor just called and said to drop it off Wed night.

I will post the results of the tweaks done by Phil after I run it at the track. I can say right now after four scanned runs up to 100 MPH the data looks good. What I'm anxious to see is that I always shifted at 5800 to stay closer to the torque range. My max torque per my scans is at 3600. He set it at 6150 which will keep it more in the HP range. Will it run faster? We'll find out.

I will post more in BOI.

My goal is always consistency, not speed. I'm sure you know in bracket racing speed means nothing but it will be very interesting to see the results. In any type of weather the computer (weather station) will accurately tell me what the car will run so I'll know what effect these tweaks have had on the car.

I can view the change log that records all changes and I can see Phil made a lot of little tweaks. I can tell you guys he knows what he's doing and at his prices if you're thinking about a tune I wouldn't hesitate.

Im glad you like the new shift points. I reduced some of your shift points, because I though they were high for normal street use in part throttle.

Then I increase several other shift tables.

I think your transmission will last longer now, get better gas mileage and still be fun to drive.

One of the shift points before had the same upshift and down shift point and the transmission was probably saying WTF

If the part throttle shifts are too low under 50%, you can always add 3 MPH below 50%.

Have fun with it, and thanks to the rest of the guys
Phil
