Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet and Cruisin Corvettes of Tallahassee are having their Corvette only car show on March 23. Lunch will be provided to entrants (last year was fried fish, shrimp, hush puppies and cheese grits) along with goody bags for the first 100 entries. It is "rain or shine", right now the forecast is questionable. If it does rain we will have room for everyone inside, tables were already going to be set up for everyone to eat lunch. Hopefully the forecast will change.

I guess I just need to watch the weather radar. I live on a dirt road that can get pretty darn messy when it rains. It's a real pain in the butt to have to remove sand/mud from the wheel wells, back bumper, and underneath the car, so I just don't take any of the cars out on rainy days.

So I guess I'll be getting up early on Saturday and looking at the radar to see if Connie and I will be coming out to the show.

So now the forecast on Saturday is only 50 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms. So it's getting better.

WCTV6 is calling for 80% Saturday AND Sunday....subject to change I'm sure.....

I was up till midnight last night working on the car to be ready to run to the show today. But I got up at 8:00 and checked the weather radar map and it didn't look good at all. Connie said it was sprinkling when she walked down the driveway to get the newspaper. So I went back to bed. Around 10 or so the skies opened up and it rained pretty steadily and heavily till just about 11:30. Lots of thunder and lightning, as well. From what I can see on the radar, Tallahassee got dumped on pretty good too.

Hopefully some diehards showed up for the show regardless of the weather.

Oh well, maybe next year.....
