Default Car Covers??

During the course of my vette ownership I have purchased 2 car covers - both of which now reside at the county landfill. First, my cars are all garaged so my primary objective is DUST PROTECTION. Admittedly, both of these covers were of the cheaper variety purchased at local auto parts stores. I found that use of these covers left a scum like residue on the finish and windshield. This was probably from moisture or humidity trapped under the cover. Additionally, they left minor marks on the finish when the cover was installed and removed.

I suspect that a higher quality flannel cover may do the job without the above effects but I am reluctant to invest $200+ based on my past experiences. Has anyone out there had experience with the higher quality indoor covers?

I use Wolf covers. I have had the one for my 66 for over 20 years and it does the job. On my 2001 I also have a Wolf which does the trick. When I lived in Mass and use to store my cars for the winter I used a Car Jacket which was a big bag I put the cars in for the winter along with moisture packets for storage. Can't go wrong with a Wolf.

Check them out here

I'm going to be looking for a cover that will protect the car OUTSIDE. Might be getting a C6 for the wife, so it will have to sleep outside under the stars (and pine trees.... ).

I guess the day I send the cashiers check I will have to order a cover as well from someplace. Any recommendations?
