THAT'S... the video I'm waiting for! Seeing all them trees going by

listening for the upshifts will probably make me drool...........

Just got back from a 2 hour drive up around Tallahassee. Still no real issues to report. Seems to be getting tired of being babied as it bucks a little bit at high gears with the RPMs around 1600 and the engine really isn't under load much. Like coming down a small hill.
Oil pressure seems OK to me. Staying around 32 PSI while at cruising RPM and easily getting over 50 PSI when I run it up to 3000 RPM or so. Oil temp is right around 225 degrees.
I checked the oil level yesterday and it looks like it hasn't lost a drop with 500 miles since the last oil change. And it's still clear, looking like the day I put the new oil in. Well, actually greenish, since that's the color of the Brad-Penn oil I put into it.
I thought more people would have their Corvettes out today around town, as it is a Sunday and the weather was beautiful. But only saw two the entire time.
I took it out yesterday, but only did a short trip to the Crawfordville post office and a longer loop to get back home. I thought someone told me there is a local car "show" at the Burger King here in Crawfordville, but it must not be this weekend, as there was nothing going on when I drove by there around 6:30 pm. Oh well.....
So another 80 miles done on the clutch break in.....
You have enough miles on the engine now it may be loseing up a bit. At some point and time you may have to reset the tune a little to composate for the engine getting broken in and running free'r

Yeah, probably right. I've still got to get around to hooking up that wideband I bought and interfacing it with EFILive. I will probably try my hand at tweaking it myself instead of bothering Mike Carnahan with this small stuff. Unless I get lost and can't figure out what the heck I need to do, of course.
But it's not something that seems to be a real issue. The car feels very strong, and the gas mileage isn't too bad, neither. Seems to average around 27 mpg, but I've seen it actually hit 30 mpg on straight and level stretches every once in a while.
I check under the hood whenever I get it back into the garage, and everything still looks just fine there. Nothing coming loose, and no leaks anywhere. I'm thinking the faint gasoline smell I detect every once in a while just might be from me running without the cats.
I'm downloading the latest videos from the camcorder, so I'll see if I can whip up a small clip of the couple of times I wound it out to close to 4000 rpm. Haven't gone over that, as I still don't want to stress the new clutch till I've got a good 500 miles on it.

so I doubt I will go outside of that radius of either my home or Champion Chevrolet for a while.
Make that, "Dale Earnhardt Jr. Chevrolet" now....Hendrick Automotive Group bought them out, along with the GMC/Cadillac/Buick dealer on the other side of Tallahassee. Now your business there is supporting Hendrick Motorsports NASCAR teams!

Heck, I'll probably continue to call them Champion Chevrolet till the day I die.
